Remembering FuchsSupport "family" members who have left us
to enter eternity
In Memory of Rita L/SD
Rita L/SD was one of the very first members of FuchsSupport. She was one who worked very hard "behind the scenes" to help FuchsSupport members everywhere she could. Rita was an expert researcher, and provided much of the information for us that fills our member Library.
When one of our members, Karen L/CA fell and "disappeared out of sight" for awhile, Rita tirelessly searched until she found where she was convalescing so we could find out how she was doing.
Anytime a member posted about some other medical problem, whether it be in the eyes or not, Rita would (without being asked) jump right in to research that subject and post links with information about it for that member.
Rita also was a member of the FuchsSupport Leadership Team from it's inception, and was a provider of wisdom, support, and ideas when needed.
Rita died of lung cancer, even though she had never smoked (it was also noted that it was not from second-hand smoke) on February 8, 2007.
We will greatly miss her leadership, research, support, and caring.
Rita, we love you.... we miss you.... and we'll be looking for you "over there".

Jim, you were such a dedicated member here, trying to help us forget for a moment what we were going through in life with your wonderful jokes, your helpfulness to everyone and a heart as big as life itself.
I will never forget your private emails to me helping me cope with Jamie's Leukemia....You will be happy to know that Jamie is in complete remision now. I know you are listening to me and I can see the smile on your face.
To you, Dear Jim
The day was long, the burden you had borne seemed heavier than you could longer bear
But then it lifted. but you did not know that someone had knelt in prayer - had taken you to God that very hour and asked the easing of the load......and He, in infinite compassion had stooped down and taken it from you...... and suddenly you found peace and rest.
Someone had prayed and a reaching hand took hold of God, and brought him down that day.
I for one will never forget your kindness towards me at the time of my deepest sorrow....
God Bless you, Jim, you are home now..you accomplished what you had to do in this life.....and now you are reaping your reward.
Well Done, my friend
Love to you.....and yes, Jim, I will remember to keep a song in my heart......always.
